As part of the Mangart 25 project, ASH SYSTEMS proudly took part in a groundbreaking milestone for the Slovenian Armed Forces. In collaboration with our consortium partners, we helped develop the first-ever Slovenian air defense system prototype — a significant achievement not only for Slovenia’s defense capabilities, but for the country’s position in the international defense landscape.
The prototype was put to the test during Shield 2025, a high-profile international air defense military exercise held at the Rt Kamenjak training ground in Croatia, in cooperation with the Slovenian Air Defense and Aviation Brigade.
During the live-fire portion of the exercise, the Slovenian Armed Forces successfully engaged airborne targets, marking the conclusion of the Mangart 25 project — and the operational validation of the system.

This milestone confirms Slovenia’s ability to develop and deploy advanced air defense solutions, making it not just a relevant player in the international defense domain, but also a country equipped with one of the most modern air defense systems in Europe.
ASH SYSTEMS: Powering the Core of the Air Defense System
ASH SYSTEMS played a crucial role in the success of the Mangart 25 project by developing the entire software and interface system for remote control of the lightweight air defense turret.
Our contribution includes:
Fire Control Display Unit
An advanced smart display system for gunners, featuring:
- Ballistic computer for real-time firing solutions
- Weapon stabilization & auto-target tracking for accurate fire on the move
- Ammunition type selection and trajectory adjustment for mission-specific flexibility
Target Acquisition Control
A mission-critical display that integrates radar subsystems and enables:
- Real-time processing and visualization of radar data
- Precise tracking of airborne and ground targets
- Enhanced situational awareness in dynamic environments
Together, these systems provide operators with full control over the turret and surrounding environment using intuitive joystick input and rugged smart screens — enabling remote operation with pinpoint precision.
